This past weekend I stayed out of the kitchen. We had used up all of our fresh ingredients and after a major house cleaning Sunday there was no way I was up for cooking a meal. Josh stepped up and made it happen for us. Right now, since his work schedule is much more than mine, I have been cooking the meals on my own. In the past he has normally helped with the prep or some other part. According to him his lack of kitchen time has left him out of practice with efficiency, timing, creativity, and such. Cooking can stress him out and he leaves a pretty good mess to be cleaned up. So he chose to make us a stir fry, the meal he never loses confidence in. We used to eat tons of Asian inspired stir-fry’s but I burnt out on them. Since we now cook them once every few months or so I can say each time it hits the spot. Josh loves using a wok and he definitely cooks this dish well; the veggies are always tender crisp and nicely seasoned. For this one he used yu choy, shiitakes, carrot, celery, onion, and bean sprouts. For the seasoning he used some pickled ginger, miso paste, and soy sauce. Thanks Love!
