Guacamole

 

Everyone has their own version of guacamole.  Cilantro, cumin, chili powder, garlic, onion, tomato, jalapeno, sour cream, hard boiled egg, ect, ect, ect.  We know the list can go on.  While many disagree on what should go in guacamole we can all agree on it being a crowd pleaser.  I am by no means claiming mine to be the best but this recipe really is delicious.  Guacamole has an amazing flavor unique to itself.  I find no need to take away from this.  After all aren’t the avocados the star of guacamole?  My dad turned me on to this recipe a few years ago and since then I haven’t strayed from it.  The unique addition is olive oil.  Yum.  My mouth is watering just typing this.  So go ahead and try my version and let me know what you think.

 

Guacamole

Guacamole

  • avocados
  • grape tomatoes, chopped
  • salt
  • lime juice
  • olive oil
  1. Peel and roughly chop avocados.  Place in a bowl.
  2. Top with fresh lime juice, salt, and a drizzle of olive oil.  Mix well and taste test.  Adjust adding more of something if necessary.
  3. Mix in tomatoes.  
           * I made mine for a little get together so I topped with a thin layer of lime juice to keep it fresh.
